Night bus to Chile

Night buses seem to be a popular mode of transport here in Argentina. Just pop on a bus at 10:30 or so and be at your destination by the time you wake up.
This was the method members of AIESEC Mendoza used to get to the Cocosur (Southern Cone AIESEC conference) in Chile.

Chile is pretty close to Argentina, in fact I really should of flown to Santiago instead of Buenos Aires as this major city, although in a different country, is actually closer to the lovely Mendoza.

So about these buses. They were quite luxurious really, two seats per side and quite big too. They were soft but firm and had this awesome foot rest attached to the seat in front so you were almost lying down. Almost.

Although the pictures I took are kinda (well to be honest, quite crap) because of the darkness, you will get the idea.

Customes in Chile too quite a while, similar to an airport but a smaller scale. They had the wee sniffer dogs and xray machines and passport people staring at my strange photo. I have to say, NZ passports get quite a lot of interest.
